27th Annual Wine Tasting & Auction

6:00 - 9:00 P.M.
Join us for a wonderful evening featuring fine wines from local wineries, exceptional hors d'oeurves, exciting raffle prizes, and many wonderful items to bid on during the silent auction. This event is a great opportunity to mix and mingle while shopping early for the holidays! Everyone will receive a Souvenir Wine Glass.
The event will be at the Grass Valley Veteran's Hall, 255 South Auburn Streets. This event is underwritten by Paul Law Realty/GMAC Real Estate and WestAmerica Bank.

This year, we added an exciting raffle with two prizes that would appeal to anyone who loves the outdoors: A Jackson Rec. Day Tripper Single-Person Kayak and a Specialized Hardrock Mountain Bike. Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased at our Truckee or Grass Valley offices before the event, or at the event itself. There is no limit on the number of tickets people can buy, and they choose which drawing they want to enter into. The two drawings will take place at the event, but the winner does NOT have to be present to win.

If you would like to donate an auction item to this event, please download this form, complete and email to Dena or fax it to (530) 273-4113. All auction item donors are recognized by being printed in the event program booklet and mentioned throughout the event by the emcees. Larger auction item donors receive added recognition through event advertising and promotions. This year, all auction items received by November 6th will be listed on our website.

Participating Wineries
The wine tasting portion of the evening is generally from 6:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. and participating wineries donate their wine for the wine tasting. At the end of the night, bottles of wine that were served during the tasting may be available for sale so guests can stock up on their favorite wines for the holidays! Each winery that sells their wines will donate a percentage from their wine sales proceeds to Big Brothers Big Sisters mentoring. Below is a list of wineries participating in the wine tasting and the percentage they will donate from their proceeds if they are selling their wines:
Tickets are $20 per person in advance or $25 per person at the door. If paying by check, make checks payable to: BBBS of Nevada County.

Table & Tree Sponsors
Table and Tree sponsors help offset the expenses associated with the event. Their name is prominently placed on a tall sign on a silent auction table or next to the Christmas tree at the event. Table Sponsorship is $150 per table and Tree Sponsorship is $500. All table and tree sponsors are recognized by being printed in the event program booklet and are mentioned throughout the night by the emcees.
