Want to support mentoring by participating in our Bowl For Kids' Sake event? Then the information below will give you the details on how to get started! Here’s what you need to do to get your teams ready:
- Select a Team Captain and put a team of 3-5 together, or come as a single bowler. If you are the Team Captain, click here to download the Team Captain Information Packet. Please complete this sheet and email to director@bigsofnc.org or fax it to (530) 273-4113.
- Contact our office at 273-2227 or director@bigsofnc.org as soon as possible to schedule a lane for one session: 3:30-4:45 p.m., 5:00-6:15 p.m., or 6:30-7:45 p.m.
- Have each bowler set a goal of collecting $100 or more in donations; they can do this online and/or use our donation form to collect donations in person. People who use the online system for collecting donations typically raise 5 times more than people who use the donation form alone! You can also collect donations in person by using our donation form, which is also in the Bowler Information Packet.
- Have Fun for Kids’ Sake on March 24th!
Bowlers: Due to the cost of the event and our goal of raising $40,000 for our programs, we encourage each bowler to have a goal of raising $100 or more in donations and to bring as much of the money as possible to the event (if collecting donations in person). Whatever isn’t collected by the event day will be collected by BBBS, as long as full names and contact information for donors is provided on the day of the event. The minimum donation for each donor is $5. Each bowler who raises a minimum of $100 receives a free t-shirt, and we will also have prizes, pictures and lots of fun! Grand prizes will go to the individual bowler and team who raises the most money for our mentoring programs. And in the spirit of our theme, we will also give a prize for the bowler with the best out of this world costume!
Not a Bowler, But Want to Support Our Event? Then Become a Sponsor!
Sponsors help offset the expenses associated with the event and raise additional money for our mentoring programs. There are four levels of sponsorship, each with accompanying levels of recognition and publicity: Comet ($250), Celestial ($500), Planetary ($1,000), or Galactic (limited to two at $2,500 each). Sponsors at the Celestial level and higher receive great publicity for their support through local media, have their name printed on the back of the t-shirts given to the bowlers, and have their name printed on posters above every bowling lanes. Additionally, all Sponsors are mentioned in our electronic newsletter and on our website.
