Mountain Bike Endurance Ride
Saturday, May 19th, 2012
All day, starting at 7:30 a.m. in Pioneer Park, Nevada City
The Mountain Bike Endurance Ride is for mountain bike enthusiasts who love a great challenge! There are two routes: The 50-mile route follows a beautiful loop out of Nevada City on local trails, including the incomparable South Yuba Trail. The route is comprised of approximately 80% single track, 7000+ feet of climbing, and stunning views of the South Yuba River. The 45-mile route is less demanding, but also follows some of the best trails in the area. The 45-mile route is perfect for riders who want to test their endurance, but are not quite ready for the technical challenges that the 50-mile route provides.
Riders collect donations in lieu of an entrance fee and have the goal of raising $250 each for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Nevada County. Riders can collect donations in person, or online through an easy-to-use fundraising page for our agency. Click here for details. For riders who prefer to collect donations in person, use our donation form to track donations. Or you may wish to use both methods in an effort to request sponsorships from people who do not have access to the internet as well as from those who do. Riders receive goodie bags filled with endurance snacks and other items, including a free t-shirt commemorating the ride, and are eligible for prizes based on the amount they raise for our agency.
Ride Sponsors help offset the expenses associated with the event and raise additional money for our mentoring programs. Ride Sponsors may donate $250-$1,000 to BBBS for the event or mountain-bike related goods and services to be used as prizes. Ride Sponsors will have their business name and logo printed on the back of the t-shirts given to all the riders, and have their name and logo printed on posters at the event. Additionally, all Ride Sponsors are mentioned in our electronic newsletter and on our website. For details and to sign up as a sponsor, use the Sponsorship Sign-Up Form.
